SHRI ANUPAM RAGHUVANSHI, Career Counselor, Mentor, Motivational Speaker

SESSION: 45

The first session of Phase 8 benefited all the MBA aspirants. SHRI ANUPAM RAGHUVANSHI guided the students on ‘From where one can do his/her MBA’. His session was streamed live on Facebook and Instagram on 2nd July 2020. He is a great inspiration for many of us. Our expert is a CAREER COUNSELOR, MENTOR, and MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER. He shared his career journey with all the viewers. He is an alumnus of NCHM, Delhi University, IGNOU. He is the recipient of the prestigious ‘PRERNA Fellowship’ at IIM Lucknow. He has worked with the India Tourism Development Corporation, Japan International Welfare Association, PRATHAM, the British Council, UNICEF, and T.I.M.E. He is the first TEDx speaker from Varanasi. His session was informative as well as inspiring and motivating. The next part of the session covered the importance of an MBA from India and abroad. He told us why MBA graduates are in demand today and how the craze for MBA is on peek. One reason behind this is that at present times every person wants to earn money in a short period. He talked about the entrance exams conducted in India and abroad. If anyone is aiming for the top universities in the country, then CAT is the preferred exam. But the one who are aiming for the universities abroad, GMAT is the exam which the student will be writing. If someone is planning to go abroad for an MBA, then 3 to 4 years of experience is must to get enrolled there. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kolkata, IIFT are the top institutes in India for MBA while abroad they are Harvard in the US, Stanford in the US, Wharton in the US, INSEAD in Singapore and so on. His mentoring helped a lot of students to solve their queries. We got to know his inspiring life experiences. To the question of message that he wants to give, he says, ‘Always listen to your heart but after understanding and developing yourself into a good personality’.

MR. UMESH NAVANI, COMPANY SECRETARY

SESSION: 46

The 46th session was about COMPANY SECRETARY, which is one of the less known but a promising field. MR. UMESH NAVANI who is a COMPANY SECRETARY mentored the students in this field. The session was streamed live on our social media handles of Facebook and Instagram on 4th July 2020. He has more than 5 years of experience in handling Business Compliance & Corporate Secretarial Function. His long-term goal is to help small and medium businesses to scale up by providing them advisory on Debt and Equity Funding, and Managing Finance. The session started with the career journey of our expert. He has worked with AppleWoods Estate as CS. Presently, he is associated with Lendingkart, an Ahmedabad based Fintech startup. While he was working as a CS, he was also doing graduation in LLB. The next part of the session was completely based on CS, and questions related to it were also taken up from the viewers. Candidates with any stream in 12th with zeal to excel in the field are eligible to take CS as a career. After 12th the student can take up the ICSI Foundation course. The duration of the foundation course is eight months. It is mandatory to pass the foundation course within three years of admission. Training is the most important aspect for students pursuing courses in Company Secretary. Students must undergo short-term training programs during the Intermediate level and after the final level exams of the Company Secretary course. The scope of this profession was also discussed. There is a wide range of services that are provided by a CS like corporate advisory, conciliation, financial management, secretarial and corporate governance, and so on, gives a very wide scope to a CS. A person can also start his/her practice. Our speaker also shared the challenges that he faced in his journey but the challenges helped him to learn new things. ‘Keep yourself upgraded and keep up with the times’ was the valuable SUCCESS MANTRA which he shared with the viewers.

SHRI PRAJANAN BHATTACHARYA, CEO, E-Media Solutions

SESSION: 47

MEDIA AND ADVERTISING was the topic of discussion this time. SHRI PRAJANAN BHATTACHARYA, CEO at E-MEDIA SOLUTIONS, mentored the students on this topic. He shared the live platform on 6th July 2020. He has 30 years of experience in newspapers, TV channels, and International News Agencies. Currently, he is running Advertising agency ‘e-media solutions’ based at National Capital working mainly with Government and International agencies. He discussed his career journey. He has worked with Pioneer, Economic Times, Dainik Jagran, Lokmat Times, Star News, and Zee News. He has headed Zee Business and Total TV. He owned Katayani TV and Dharm TV. The next part of the session covered the term ‘Media’ which is a very wide concept. He discussed the different aspects of media which include print media, broadband media, and the internet. The aspirant should be bold enough to communicate, should have the ability of story-telling and writing, project management, and should have the ability to take criticism. He discussed the top colleges like the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, MICA, NIMCJ, and there are many institutes to go for. And the media industry to very vast with a lot of job opportunities. Jobs that available in the media industry are translator, video editor, technical writer, video producers, and many more. a person can choose according to his/her area of interest. Our expert gave a lot of examples of video advertising and how one can make it creative to target a specific audience. He shared a lot of information including the basics of media and advertising. There has been a lot of changes in this field due to the development and increase in the use of technology. As a journalist one can explore the world by learning a lot of new things. He shared his inspiring life experiences. ‘Profession Honesty and Hard-work’ are key SUCCESS MANTRA which was shared by our mentor.

MR. AYUSH KESHRI, CEO, ATE WORLD TALK

SESSION: 48

MR. AYUSH KESHRI who is a CEO at ATE WORLD TALK gave his precious time to us on 8th July 2020. This whole session was about MANAGING STRESS and HANDLING PRESSURE. This session was sorely needed as there is time in everyone’s life especially in a student’s life there is a lot of pressure and stress about career, exams, competitions, etc. Our expert shared a lot of valuable tips which can be used by everyone. The session started with a discussion of his career journey. He has established the Young Association when he was 17 years old. He did his Bachelor of Arts (BA HONS) in Journalism from the University of Delhi and Master of Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM) from Banaras Hindu University. He shared his story after 12th when he was stressed and depressed with his academic result. He also shared a story that taught a lesson of positivity. As a student, identify the reasons/ roots of your stress, tensions, and anxiety and then slowly kick out all the roots of the stress. The expert asked the most important question, ‘How frequently we talk to ourselves?’ This question will give all the answers that one person is dealing with. He gave us 3 important tips for the long and short term of stress. Meditation is a very healing process to get out of all the negative thoughts that have been arising in the mind. The ultimate goal of everyone’s life is ‘To be Happy’. To fight with the short-term stress, he says, smile for 30 seconds, close your eyes and memories all the good moments happened, and 3rd tip was to do good work which can bring a smile someone else’s face and yours too. Always appreciate your work and other’s work which will help as a motivation to that person. Our speaker gave viewers very useful tips which can be used by anyone. SUCCESS MANTRA to avoid the stressful situation shared by him was, ‘Plan out your day-to-day activity and check out at the end of the day did you worked according to your plans or not. If not, then try it again the next day till you make it a habit’.

MS. PRIANSHIKA LOHRA, Interior designer, Owner- STUDIO 90

SESSION: 49

On 10th July 2020, we covered our last session of phase 8. This session was taken over by MS. PRIANSHIKA LOHRA on career in INTERIOR DESIGNING. She has 8 years of experience in Interior and Designing. She is running her own Interior firm by the name of Studio 90. She has done her B.A (Hons.), M.A in English and Masters in Interior and Designing. In interiors, she does Turnkey project, Designing, Commercial and Residential projects. She shared her career journey with us. And after completion of this course, there is a surety of getting the job because there are companies, residents, government offices that require interior designers. So, there is a vast scope in this field. She gave detailed information of the top colleges like National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, PEARL Academy. These institutes provide a Bachelor’s degree in interior design with the 4 years of duration. One can also go the one-year diploma course from YMCA New Delhi, JD Institute of Fashion Tech, Hamster Institute, etc. After completing the Bachelor’s interested candidates can go for a Master’s also. There are different types of interior designers like corporate, healthcare, kitchen and bath, sustainable, and universal, the person can choose according to his area of interest. Our speaker shared some of the extra soft skills that a person should have in this field like politeness, calmness, patience, good communication and listening skills, and time management. She says a student opting for interior designing should have good command in the computer on how to make presentations and quotations and much more stuff like this. This session was amazing with our expert. The session was interactive and informative with her. Gauri Khan who is an interior designer has been her inspiration in her journey. She shared an inspiring SUCCESS MANTRA, ‘Be positive and Calm. And stay away from negative people which can affect your mind and work’.
