SESSION:28

We began our 5th phase of the career counseling session with ADITYA PANDEY. He shared the live platform on 1st June 2020 on the topic of Digital Marketing and Branding. The session started with his journey. He is currently designated as the CLOUD CAMPUS LEAD CONSULTANT at NIIT LIMITED. He is an expert in all disciplines of digital marketing. He is a passionate digital marketing mentor and practitioner, who excels in PPC, SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Google Analytics, etc. He has worked with Simplilearn America’s bases in Bangalore which is followed by an exceptional stint with ING VYASA (at present Excide Life Insurance) as Deputy Branch Manager- Marketing. Later on, the discussion was all about digital marketing. He says, MBA is not required to learn digital marketing. He named the top institutes NIIT which is best to pursue this course whereas other online platforms are upGrad, Simplilearn. He talked about different disciplines in this field like E-Mail, social-media, website development, SEO, blogging, and many more. when someone has graduated from this course they can join in as digital marketing executive and later on, can get high posts. Data analytics is a must to learn this will help further in this field. He named some websites like Upwork, gigster where one can fetch freelancing projects. His session was informative and productive for all the interested aspirants in this profession. He shared a very beautiful MESSAGE that ‘Those who try do not lose and those who lose never tried it.’

SHRI. ASHISH CHAUDHARY, Business Associate, Bank of Baroda

SESSION: 29

The 2nd session of phase 5 was conducted on 2nd June 2020. We invited ASHISH CHAUDHARY who is a BUSINESS ASSOCIATE in Bank of Baroda. The session aimed at how one can crack banking and other competitive exams. He is a digital banking top performer. He shared his inspirational career journey with all the viewers. He has passed the JAIIB exam. He owns a YouTube channel ‘GYAN 365’ which has more than 10,000 subscribers. He guides students on how they can crack SSC, MPSC, Banking, and other competitive exams. Next, he told discussed the different exams that are held in the banking sector like IBPS conduct 4 different exams, SBI conduct 3, RBI conducts 2 and one is IPPB. For the SSC CGL Exam, the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree. There are many posts in this like income tax inspector, assistant section officer, assistant audit office, etc. The pay level is different for each post. He suggested that if possible one can also take coaching as this will help to increase the passing percentage chances. But what matters id your hard work and effort that you put into it. For interview round one has to improve communication, language fluency, and body language. Some of the top coaching classes where one can join are Mahendra’s, Career Launcher, and some YouTube channels also. When someone is not able to clear any exam then their motivation level goes down so to tackle this, they can take help by seeing motivational videos on YouTube. This will help them to believe in themselves. His guidance was really helpful for many students. He gave many amazing and beautiful advises. His motivation is DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM and DR. BHIM RAO AMBEDKAR. His SUCCESS MANTRA is ‘BE DEDICATED and TRUE TO YOURSELF’.

DR. PUSHPENDRA KUMAR, Asst. Professor, KIET Group of Institutions

SESSION: 30

DR. PUSHPENDRA KUMAR shared the live platform to guide on B. Pharm and M.Pharm. His session went live on 3rd June 2020. He is an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. Our guest speaker inspired everyone by sharing his career journey. He has done his M.Pharm., and Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. He owns a YouTube channel named ‘Dr. Pushpendra’s classes.’ It is ranking 45 worldwide among the top 100 YouTube teachers. His session was among one of the most awaited of all the sessions. He told the viewers about career opportunities after B.Pharm and M.Pharm. After B.Pharm one has options like the pharmaceutical industry, marketing, pharmacist in hospitals and M.Pharm gives options like pharma consultancy, drug research, patents, or clinical trials. For education, abroad can also be a preference. In India, some of the top colleges for UG are ICT, Mumbai; Jamia Hamdard, Delhi; Poona College of Pharmacy, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Many exams are conducted for pharmacy students like GPAT, NIPER JEE, and other state-level exams. To the question of job stability he says, the job is stable as this industry will never face a downfall. Talking about skills, in this digital world one needs to have the intermediate level knowledge of computers, learning c+, java, coding, and more. These skills will help in placement in big companies. He gave us a lot of information which helped many of the students. He shared his SUCCESS MANTRA, ‘Put your efforts where it is needed and never follow a crowd blindly. Follow your dreams, and do that you love to do’.

DR. KISHOR RATHOD, ASST. Professor, Livestock Products Technology, Nagpur Veterinary College

We had DR. KISHOR RATHOD, ASST. PROFESSOR of Livestock Products Technology at Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur. He came live on 4th June 2020 to guide in the field of Veterinary Science. He has worked at Venky’s India Ltd., Pune. He then joined the state government as a Livestock Development Officer (Gr.A) through MPSC. Thereafter, he joined MAFSU in the year 2008 and has 12 years of experience as Asst. Professor. He is a MAFSU recognized Ph.D. guide for the subject LPT. He shared all the necessary information concerning this field. Talking about the admission, it is on the merit basis of marks obtained in NEET since the degree is equivalent to MBBS. One should have cleared 12th class. with minimum 50% marks combined in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology. Later on, he told us that, VCI i.e., the Veterinary Council of India regulates veterinary education in India and 15% seats in every veterinary colleges are filled by VCI for which student has to apply on website of VCI separately. All this information was shared by him.The UG course (B.V.Sc.& S.H.) is of 5.5 years and PG (M.V.Sc.) is of 2 years degree program respectively. Students can choose specialized subjects of their own choice for PG amongst 18 different subjects. During M.V.Sc. every students are required to submit thesis on research topic as decided by guide. There are almost 45 Veterinary colleges in India. Some top most Veterinary College are NVC, Nagpur, MVC Mumbai, GADVASU Ludhiana, MVC Chennai etc along with National Institute IVRI, Bareilly. He shared the details of job positions like Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Officer, Scientist at different research institutes under ICAR, ICMR, CSIR etc. Vets also have good opportunity in Indian Army/ defence as RVC. Vets can also go for their own start-up like opening up of clinics for pets as well as large animals, diagnostic laboratories, different farms, consultancy etc. They also have great opportunity to serve wildlife. There were a lot of things that we learned from his session. He says everything depends on how passionate you are towards achieving your goal. Your passion and dedication will take you forward in your life. SUCCESS MANTRA that he regards is ‘NEVER GIVE-UP. FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND STAY DEDICATED AND MOTIVATED’.

CAPT. SANJAY SINGH, (retd) Commissioner of Customs and Captain in the Armoured Corps, Indian Army

SESSION:32

This session was organized for students who want to serve the nation and want to make a career in DEFENCE FORCES. We invited CAPT. SANJAY GAHLOT, who was a COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS and CAPTAIN IN THE ARMOURED CORPS of INDIAN ARMY. This session took place on 5th June 2020. The session started with his career journey from schooling to till now. He remained in active service as a commissioned officer from Aug 1984 to Sep 1989. He later chose to write the civil services exam which he cleared in the first attempt. The next part of the session covered the career in Defence Forces. There are two streams to join the officer corps in the army one is after 12th class through National Defence Academy. The second stream is after graduation in humanities, commerce, science, engineering and join Indian military Academy. The procedure of the NDA exam is as follows: written exam, and then service selection interview which is held for 4 days. NDA can only be joined by unmarried males. He told us that career opportunities in the army are strictly merit-based. One’s course performance and annual confidential report matter a lot for taking you forward in your career. Officers Like Quality are the most important of the officer’s profile. Earlier women got only a short service commission but now they can also get the permanent commission. His session was very informative to know about our Indian Army. He shared many facts and details related to this field. Discipline is the most important aspect of this area. He also shared his most wonderful moment in the army. He is a true inspiration for many. His message to everyone was, ‘Do serve your NATION even if you don’t want to pursue a career in the Army. The welfare of the country comes first.’

MS. PRIYA NIKAM, Senior Project Manager, Sankalpan Infrastructure

We had PRIYA NIKAM on 6th June 2020 to guide on civil engineering. At present, she is a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, SANKALPAN INFRASTRUCTURE in Hyderabad. She has done PGDM in Construction Management from NICMAR, Pune. She has 14 years of experience in this field. She has been exposed to many branches of management. She has also worked with Arup India Pvt Ltd and IPC company. This interaction went smoothly with our guest and all the viewers. When she chose this career there were hardly any girls in this field. So, this was pretty difficult for her to join this field but she didn’t step back. Next, she shared the scopes in civil engineering some of them are structural, geotechnical, site, project management, and construction engineers. She named some companies which are boosting up now. One has to clear the entrance exam to get enrolled in this course. There are exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, BITSAT, and many of the institutes have their own. There are a lot of courses in management like construction, oil, and gas, material, project, advanced construction management. She told us about the skills that are required like good communication, mental awareness, ability to understand the risk. For girls, there are still many unknown challenges that they face in this field but they are strongly overcoming those. She answered the questions of viewers which made the session very interactive. Traveling is her inspiration which makes her work from morning to evening. She shared her experienced SUCCESS MANTRA which is, ‘BE PASSIONATE WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND ALWAYS GIVE YOUR 100%’.

DR. AKSHAY CHANDORE, Consulting Homeopath and ASST. Professor

SESSION: 34

This was our last session for which we invited DR. AKSHAY CHANDORE who is a CONSULTING HOMEOPATH and ASST. PROFESSOR. On 7th June 2020 he shared the live platform over Facebook and Instagram to mentor the students on B.H.M.S. At first, he shared his career journey. He has completed his M.D in Homoeopathic Medicine from MUHS, Nasik University. He shares 9 years of experience as a practitioner. He has been an Asst. Professor in a Homeopathic college for 4 years. He is also a consultant in many private charitable trusts. He got interested in this field from his family. He told us the scopes in this profession. One can start its practice, research, online consultation, private, and government job positions. NEET, PU CET, KEAM, TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET are some of the entrance exams for that one needs to qualify to get admission. He shared that due to this COVID-19 situation, this field has got some upliftment. People are also considering homeopathy medicines as a preventive measure. The government has also suggested homeopathy medicines. Later on, he gave the information regarding the courses. The duration of this course is 5.5 years. He faced few challenges in his way but he always learned something from that and fought them. He made us aware of the difference between Homeopathy and Ayurveda. And also, homeopathy helps in avoiding self-medication which helps those who sometimes take the wrong medicine. He says, take out some time for health and improve your diet this will keep you fit for a very long time. Dr. Shankran, who is a re-owned homeopathic doctor, is his inspiration. SUCCESS MANTRA which he shared was, ‘Do your deeds passionately’.
