Lack Of Field Experience Among Indian Students
Education is of the utmost importance in today’s era. It is the way through which poor families can get rid of poverty. There are some families which couldn’t send their children to schools due to shortage of finance but the children’s who go to schools also face a lot of problems in their educational career.
Students are facing guidance problems. The unguided students have no field experience, no career guidance. They don’t which field they should choose; in which field they should make a career. This problem arises because neither the parents pay due attention to it because of their busy job schedule nor the teachers due to lack of professionalism are able to guide them. Lack of guidance is a very serious problem that students are facing.
The examination system of the country is so poor because the students are evaluated on the basis of memory test rather than their abilities, their skills, their qualities. Some students understand Academic Excellence= Success but it is no true. This misguides many students. Success falls on that side where the person has qualities, skills, technical mind, innovative mind.
In colleges, universities & schools, students got bookish and theoretical knowledge but to get a job they need practical knowledge, experiences, and skills. Now there is too much competition in the market and the employers usually hire those who have the experience, knowledge in the required job.
To deal with the problem of career guidance, students should get the basic knowledge about the profession in which they want to make their career. They should consult those who already are working in this field. The examination system of the country should be changed. Students’ capabilities shouldn’t be judged on the basis of their memory test, bookish knowledge. Academic Excellence shouldn’t be considered a success.
