India has become a quickly developing country in many industrial areas. One such industry is the education industry. Education may be a significant factor in India for its economic development. Since, its independence, India has always focused on improving the literacy rate in the country. The Government of India has introduced many programs and acts to enhance primary education and reform it to so that is more effective.

Despite the presence of such acts and programs, there are still a few sectors or households who don’t have access to quality education. These people usually belong to the category of below the poverty line (BPL). With respect to a recent report published in Indian newspapers, India harbours 30 percent of roughly 385 million children that live in conditions of extreme poverty.

It is estimated that by the year 2030:

167 million children round the globe are going to be living in poverty

69 million of world’s children aged 5 years and below will die.

750 million girls within the world will fall prey to the evil of child marriage.

Children in rural families are 2.1 times more likely to be bereft of basic necessities than in urban households. Better access to public institutions of health and education in urban areas helps them to deal with poverty. These children don’t even have basic necessities at their own homes so one cannot even begin to imagine the necessities that they’re not receiving for his or her education. The Government of India is aware of the issues within the Indian education system. School infrastructure is in a poor state of condition and lots of school teachers aren’t properly qualified, with 31% of them not having a degree. 40% of faculties are without electricity. There are schools where at the time of exams the invigilators ignore the unfair activities which the students indulge in and give them the full freedom to cheat.

The state of learning is extremely poor as was highlighted by the Annual Survey of Education Report (ASER), which found that a considerable number of state schools have 14-year-old students six years behind what would be expected of them on the average . These circumstances create quit a difficult predicament for socio-economically deprived groups, who can’t afford a personal school to teach their child.

All this must change as education is extremely important for the general development of all children. It gives them the power to move further in life and helps them to achieve great things. Every child receives a top quality education and acquires the knowledge and skills to be empowered, informed, engaged, and become a lively citizen may be a priority for Miracle Foundation. Worldwide, 250 million children don’t have even basic numerical and literacy skills. In rural parts of India and Pakistan, just one in five children aged 10 and 11, who should have spent five years in class , have achieved minimum learning standards.

It is clear that education systems require urgent reform. For systems to do away with educational inequalities they need to specialize in providing the most basic of requirements to the more disadvantaged children. Hence, these are few steps that will ensure quality education is given to all children.

Address Disadvantage from infancy

There are lots of difficulties and struggles faced when poverty affects education, some students don’t even get the chance to go to schools or undertake early education. There are some people who are unable to pursue the courses enrolled by them and thus have to drop out. To benefit fully from education, children must also start schooling at the proper age (in two-thirds of nations, six years old is the common starting age for primary education).

The Right to a top quality Education while Children await Family Placement

Each child expects a family to be placed in while living in an orphanage or within the adoption system. He/ she also deserve the proper access to possess quality education. They should be able to attend schools consistently throughout the tutorial year and receive tutoring or other after-school support to improve academic performance.

Ensuring the weaker student get proper education at a right pace

One reason why numerous children spend time in class without progressing is overly ambitious and rigid curriculum. Education interventions aimed toward basic literacy and numeracy skills for youngsters who have fallen behind curricular expectations show that they will improve rapidly with the proper support.

Provide Disadvantaged Children with the simplest Teachers

In many countries, inadequate training of teachers is holding back children’s learning and growth. In areas like Mali and Niger, while no students could initially read a minimum of 21 letters, 49% could after four months’ teaching, compared to only 2% after a year of instruction by teachers who didn’t receive the training.

Provide Learning Resources to assist Children Progress at an Appropriate Pace

Learning materials will only be effective if they’re accessible to children within the classroom, are pitched at the proper level and within the right language, and teachers are trained to use them. A computer-based tool in India that tailored learning materials consistent with children’s current learning levels, to exceed 69% of youngsters within the comparison group.

Empower Parents and Communities to carry Schools and Policymakers to Account

To implement measures aimed toward raising learning outcomes and overcoming inequalities, households and communities got to be ready to hold policymakers and faculty leaders to account. Special measures are often potentially powerful, but care must be taken to empower the disadvantaged within communities

It’s been observed that the Hindi speaking states: Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are the foremost half-hearted when it involves implementation of the RTE (Right to Education) Act, despite the very fact that the majority of out-of-school children (up to 67%) are from these states. Regarding this Indian Constitution clearly says that it can’t be left to the states to supply people their rights. It’s clearly not lack of funds that’s a hindrance within the implementation of RTE Act, but lack of intent and political will. To effectively implement the RTE Act, the Human Resource Development Ministry, Labour Ministry, Women and Child Development Ministry, Panchayat Raj Ministry and Rural Development Ministry need to work together to succeed in towards this goal. School management committees should take it upon themselves to spread awareness about the Act at the community level in order that people are encouraged to send their children to high school

Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world”, said Nelson Mandela. So it is very important to take this matter seriously and nurture our country’s children with the best quality education possible so that all children will be befitted from the Right to education act.
