Career in Visual Effects (VFX)
To start a career in Visual Effects, one needs to have a BA in Animation and Visual Effects is also known as Animation and VFX. It consists of 3 academic years. Each academic year is divided into two semesters, with each semester lasting for 6 months. Other than this, there are B.Sc. in Animation and VFX, B.Sc. in Animation, B.Sc. in Multimedia and Animation, Diploma courses and PDP Courses are also available. The academic program consists of classroom lectures, practical training as well. Studio and practical training are given much importance in this course. The various courses focus on topics such as multimedia, animation, and VFX. Visual Effect artists are responsible for creating computer-generated animations and special effects on screens at home and in theaters.

Shri. Srinath Balasubramanian is the compositing artist in a moving picture company (MPC). He has completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Manipal Institute of Technology and also a secondary diploma in Visual Effects. While attending a workshop he realized his interest in visual effects and from then he started working in this field

Eligibility:
- A minimum of 10+2 pass qualification in any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts)
- A Minimum marks criteria may differ in different institutes (around 50% aggregate marks of 60% and 55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
