Career in Programming
When we talk to another person we try to understand what they are trying to convey, let it be in a group discussion or a project meeting with your boss. Well that goes well as humans talk in some regional language and that has some standard meaning for all. We are now a part of a world where we have metallic objects around us that do have a brain of their own, we promptly call them computers, the marvelous invention that has revolutionized our living! So such a grand resource must not be left unspoken to!
How do we talk to them? As there are alphabets and grammar that make up any language, we have something called a language (Syntax) and an art called programming. This is an art of talking definitely to a computer, to use its brain to do things. Computers are fast, that makes it much more capable than the thinking speed of a human. So let’s define programming, it is just a way to tell what is in your head to the computer, an art of making an orderly set of instructions for the computer to execute.

Shri. Shivam Gupta is a Computer Science Engineer, a passionate traveler, who believes that travelling will soothe and purify his soul and mind. He did his engineering from KIET, Ghaziabad. He is currently working as a Senior Software engineer in Usercentrics Gmbh. He is an ex-employee of Samsung R&D. His technical skills include Cloud, AWS, Node.js, Reactjs, React Native, GCP, Shell Scripting, Server, GraphQL, PHP, Codeigniter, ML, and AI. He always emphasizes on teamwork, innovation and spreading knowledge. He is a vlogger and a fast learner. He is also a mentor to Innovators Innovation.
Shashi Dream foundation on 28th, June 2020 conducted a counselling session on ‘Career in Programming’ by Shri. Shivam Gupta. The counseling session was live-streamed on social media platforms and many viewers joined. It was a qualitative and interactive session where he shared his experiences, provided necessary information about programming and answered all the queries asked by the attendees.

Anyone can be a programmer; we just need interest in programming. But if you want to get into the field of programming with an engineering background and a computer science degree then the eligibility criteria is as follows
Under graduation:
· One has to complete his/her 10+2 education from any recognized Board.
· At the 10+2 level he/she should have studied Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as their major.
· He/She should have an aggregate score of 50% or more in the PCM subjects combined at the qualifying level.
