Politics is something that has been part of society since its inception. Naturally, as social animals, we created communities based on our collective identities and elected leaders to easily make decisions. Politics is something that we witness on a day to day basis, in our immediate circles, in our workplaces, and on the news as well. It is a subject that we can study as it exists in our reality.
The subject of political science does not only limit to the study of politics, political systems, and governance but also how politics affects society and the world collectively in various ways. Political Science as a branch of social sciences deals with the working of a Political Party, their agenda, policies, history, state politics, putting theoretical knowledge into practical experience. The subject basically deals with the working of the state, various agencies, government operations, and analysis.
Political Science has wide scope for the aspirants incurring policy making and analysis skills, wanting to make a career as a politician, political analyst, researcher, and more. Shashi Dream Foundation was privileged to have Dr. Santosh Kumar as our speaker for a career counseling session on “Career in Political Science”.
Dr. Santosh Kumar is a professor of Politics, Public Policy, and Administration. He was awarded a Doctorate in Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Prior to joining PP Savani University, he has taught at SLA&HS, Auro University, FLAME University, School of Liberal Studies-PDPU, the School of Rural Development. He has experience in teaching for over 24 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
· Candidate should be having a minimum of 50 to 60 percent marks (depending upon the college) in their 12th exam from a recognized board of examination.
· Preferably should be from a Humanities background, but not necessarily.
