The career in films has a wide variety of positions such as producer, director, editor, actor, writer, etc. Film making includes from scripting to releasing.
Expert’s Guide:
Shri. Ankush Deshmukh is an actor and holds an experience of working in both films and ad films. He is from a Theatre background and has done 22 commercial plays in Marathi.. He got to work with Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Irfan Khan, Shahid Kapoor and more. He has worked with AMITABH Sir and learned a lot from him. He has worked in movies like Kabir Singh, Blackmail. He had been in the film industry for more than 10 years.
There are many rumors about having a career in films and ad films. However, to break all the taboos for the film-fascinating Candidates, Shashi dream foundation organized a career counseling session on the topic “Career in Films and Advertisement (assistant director) Films” by Mr. Ankush Deshmukh.
Eligibility criteria:
Graduation is the required qualification in any discipline of Film making, and for technical jobs, the only qualification needed is 10+2. Practically in all cases, there’s going to be aptitude testing. There are also diplomas, degrees, and certificates to be earned in almost each and every specialization like directing, cinematography, animation, acting, photography, animation, etc., and not technical mostly preferred skills are like team ability, responsibility, efficient communication skill, administrative skill, stamina, and great visual and analytical sense.
FTII JET Entrance exam is conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India in the month of february. It is held across the country with 26 exam centers.
Age limit — Candidate should be above 21 years of age. However, there is no upper limit specified by the Institute for candidates.
Residential Criteria/Nationality — There is no nationality or residential criteria.

- Understanding of the latest filming technology and software:
A filmmaker or Ad should have the minimum knowledge on how to shoot a film and should be able to understand every piece of film making process. It includes camera work, lighting, sound, special effects, design, post-production processes, and much more. With experience and constant learning, one can be a pro in this category.
- Creativity:
Creativity is a significant concern in filmmaking. Because a person with imagination has a longer and healthier career in this field, trying or being out of the box is the main thing an individual should work on.
- Communication skills:
The better one can communicate, the more perfect will be the output. When an individual is good at effective communication, everyone feels free to communicate and share ideas to build better ideas.
