In recent times, the world is facing the biggest threat to mankind. This threat has come in the form of a pandemic which has resulted in shutting down offices throughout the country and has led to the emergence of working online. After this drastic change in the working condition, one needs to ponder upon the question that can everybody work on computers? Do people have sufficient knowledge and skill in using computers? The problem of working online is that not everyone has the necessary devices and knowledge to work on the devices.
There are about 1.25 million schools in India. Out of these only 18–19% of schools have computers. This is alarmingly less than what we expect. The states with the least number of schools with computers are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. Most of the education which a person acquires in his/her life is from schools. And surprisingly, at schools, the students are not taught about computers and basic knowledge on how to use a computer. The platform of digital learning enables people to learn about how to use technology. Digital learning is a platform that has enabled teachers to teach the students in a more effective way. It has helped in the growth of the teaching profession and has also greatly contributed to the learning experience of children. The concept of digital learning is now being emphasized everywhere throughout the country and has gained much-needed attention in recent times. Students registering for the courses at SWAYAM need not pay any fee as the course is free of cost, however to get the certification, registration is required for which a minimal fee has to be paid
It is a collection of 32 DTH channels which run 24x7 for the students. Everyday new content is floated on the website which runs 5 times in a day.
